Bloodwise Paris to Geneva

Bloodwise has teamed up with professional cycling tour organisers Ride25 to organise an incredible once-in-a-lifetime challenge to cycle from Paris to Geneva on Tuesday 6th September 2016 – Saturday 10th September 2016.

Ideal for cycling club riders, weekend warriors, MAMILS (and MAWILS) and anyone who enjoys an amazing challenge with great people whilst raising money for a great charity.

The date:

P2GTuesday 6th September 2016 to Saturday 10th September 2016.

(We will be cycling for 4 days in total from the Tuesday to the Friday)

We will depart from Paris on Tuesday 6th September (please make sure that you arrive in Paris the day before the ride commences – you will need to organise your own travel and pre-tour accommodation).  We will then arrive in in Geneva at approx 5pm on Friday 10th September where we will enjoy a celebratory meal in the evening plus an overnight stay (included in the trip costs).  Everyone will then make their own way home on Saturday 10th September 2016.

The route:

Ride25 Paris to Geneva June 2015162You will be cycling 354 miles over 4 days, beginning in Paris and passing through beautiful French countryside and Romanesque churches before finishing with a final push up into the stunning Jura Mountains and down into Geneva.  It’s an amazing route through some stunning landscapes countryside and if you sign up now, you still have plenty of time to get in training!

How much is it?

£1,850.  This comprises:

  • £250 non-refundable registration fee (payable when signing up)
  • £850 Trip cost (you will be required to pay the balance payment 6 weeks before the event)
  • £700 minimum sponsorship target for Bloodwise (50% of which should be raised four weeks before the event and the remainding 50%, four weeks post event)

All you need to pay now is a £250 deposit/registration fee (non-refundable). You will be invoiced separately 6 weeks before the event for the £850 tour costs and Bloodwise will be in touch with help and support regarding fundraising once you’ve signed up.

What’s included?

  • Four nights’ accommodation in a clean, comfortable hotel (in Sens, Semur-en-Auxois, Lons-le-Saunier and Geneva).  All rooms will have twin beds and we will allocate you a room partner unless you specify who you would like to share with.  (You may select a single supplement for an extra £250 in the booking process if you prefer not to share a room)
  • Rome to Milan 2015 Ride25 296Three meals a day plus stops for snacks
  • Coffee/tea and cake at coffee stops
  • Support vehicle to transport your luggage (clothes and supplies) from each stage to the next
  • Back-up vehicles to provide you with medical help and any assistance should you need a rest
  • A digital map in the format of a .gpx file for mobile navigation devices such as Garmin
  • Customised, waterproof cloth route maps including essential directions, pitstops and interesting information on the area.
  • Two Ride25 bespoke, high quality breathable cycling shirts for use on your trip. These will be fully personalised for you and adorned with badges showing the number of Ride25 legs you have completed so far.
  • Daily fresh fruit and water in the support vehicles
  • Celebratory dinner in Geneva
  • Event insurance
  • Free access to Bloodwise’s training day programs.

In addition, once you’ve reached 50% of your £700 sponsorship target, Bloodwise will give you 2 x Bloodwise cycling tops and a pair of cycling shorts to help with your training and on the event.

  • Flights/Eurostar and transfers to Paris and and back from Geneva.
  • Accommodation the night before the tour commences in Paris

Ride25 Paris to Geneva June 2015107This special event is aimed at everyone, so get a team together from your friends and family, colleagues, cycle club mates who may want to enjoy the ride, sunshine, wine, food and fun with you.  It’s a great opportunity to get fit, challenge yourself, network most importantly raise significant funds for Bloodwise.

It’s not just about the cycling though‚ it’s about the camaraderie, stunning landscapes, charity and sharing your day’s adventure over a meal and a few drinks in the evening…

…not forgetting Ride25’s amazing hospitality, support and planning.  Ride25 do everything to make sure all you have to worry about is which way to pedal, after all it’s your cycling adventure!

How will I fundraise?

A commitment to fundraise this amount for Bloodwise is mandatory if you register for the event. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to do this so once you have registered for the event a Bloodwise fundraiser will be in touch to provide you with support, ideas, advice and materials.

Once you’ve smashed 50% of your £700 sponsorship target, Bloodwise will provide you with 2 x Bloodwise cycling tops and cycling shorts to help with your training.  You will also receive free access to Bloodwise’s training day programs.

Click the “Book Now”  button below, fill in the registration form and pay the £250 deposit/registration fee to secure your place.

You can pay by PayPal or Bank Transfer whichever is easiest for you.  Bloodwise will then be in touch so they can work with you on ideas to raise the money and smash your £700 fundraising target.  Ride25 will then invoice you 6 weeks before the event to ask for the final tour cost payment of £850.

The ride is open to all cycling abilities and all types of bikes. We do recommend that you use a road bike, however, previous Ride25 Riders have used hybrids and Bromptons.
