Ride25

We will help you to experience the world like never before...

Ride25 takes all the hassle out of travelling abroad with your bike, so you can enjoy your amazing challenge.  We’re not looking to take your on popular cycling routes. We are on a mission to cycle across the world and that often means not seeing another cyclist outside of your group for hours or sometimes days.

We organise everything from well-designed routes, fabulous meals, snacks and drinks, great hotel accommodation, support vehicles, trained and experienced staff, your own personalised cycling shirts and much more…..

Perfectly Designed Routes

Each one of our cycling tours is designed to offer you the best way of seeing the world. We spend time on reconnaissance working out the best way to get from A to B. We don’t necessarily take you on the fastest route or perhaps the most traditional cycling route, but we will make sure you get to see the most beautiful landscapes and scenery with good road surfaces (where possible) to reduce punctures. We plan routes that contain the least amount of traffic, so all you have to concentrate on is soaking up the most cultural experience possible.

We have designed bespoke route maps including all essential information to make sure you get the most out of each day. All routes are also provided in a file format for use with bike navigation systems such as Garmin.

Cycling Tours - Support - Ride 25

Fully Supported And Organised

We provide all the support and assistance that you need so that you can forget any worries and just enjoy the ride. From the second you arrive at the starting point through to your celebratory meal at the end of the tour, we organise every step. Whether it is transporting your overnight bags and bike box to your next hotel or providing technical and medical back up, or providing spare bike parts, pumps or the expertise of a mechanic – we will be on hand to help.

If you have had enough cycling any day and wish to be taken back to the hotel you can call the support crew and be picked up.  No questions asked and no-one needs to know.

The only things we do ask you to organise yourself is your insurance, flights and bringing your bike to the start. This gives you the flexibility to arrive and leave as you wish. You may wish to extend your holiday at the end of your tour or have a few more days’ preparation before the leg starts, so we leave that bit up to you.

We give something back…

At the very core of Ride25 is our desire to raise money for charity. The business is not run for profit but to create charity fundraising events that maximise the fundraising. The founders are paid no income and in the event of any profit it will be given to charity. We raise over £100,000 each year for the African children’s charity 1moreChild through the annual Pioneers ride and every event organised has to be a fundraiser.

Good Quality Accommodation

All the hotels we choose provide good, clean, comfortable rooms. We try to book three to five star hotels wherever possible but on occasion, due to sheer lack of options, we may be in more basic accommodation. Hotels are not always built at the perfect distances for travelling by bike to Australia but we can almost always get it to work without bus transfers.

If anything the quality of accommodation improves the further away from London. It is possible to book a 4 star hotel room in Turkey for £25!

Open To Everyone

Our trips generally involve groups of between 25 – 100 people but we have arranged events for 500 people across multiple countries. The Pioneer group is always 100 people+. We encourage people from all backgrounds and of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels to take part. We have a real mix of people on our trips, from Olympic athletes to overweight (at their own admission!) businessmen and women to university students to full-time mums.

Cycling Tours - It's not a race - but it is a challenge - Ride 25
Ride25

It’s Not A Race – But It Is A Challenge

Ride25 is not a race and it’s not a leisurely holiday – it’s somewhere in between. We don’t record times and we really couldn’t care less who arrives first or last at any given destination. Ride25 is all about finding your own pace and your own group of people who ride at the same speed as you. If one day you’re feeling a bit speedy you can join one of the faster groups, but if on another day you would like to take it a bit more leisurely you will always find a group of people who are going at the same pace.

However, Ride25 IS a challenge. Clocking between 70-100 miles a day is not a walk (or cycle!) in the park, and on the days we cover fewer miles the terrain will be more challenging and may involve large hills and mountains. After all, we can’t get to Geneva without crossing the Alps!

Cycling Tours - Cuisine - Ride 25

Delicious Authentic Cuisine

From delicate French patisseries and proper Italian mamas serving up mountains of homemade pasta, to mouthwatering Thai curries, we believe that sampling the local cuisine is one of the best ways to experience the world. That’s why we make sure that every restaurant and cafe we stop at is a local gem, serving up authentic, delicious food that is the perfect fuel for the next few hours on the bike. The further away from home and the more remote the route you are doing sometimes means the provision of food is more basic but also often these are the best experiences. One of the memorable experiences has been sitting on the floor of a petrol station at the Turkish border in the hot sun for an extended period drinking beer and eating ice cream.
In the evenings, we always have a great meal together as a team, chatting about the day’s events and sharing successes, stories and experiences. There is almost always a bar unless local rules forbid the serving of alcohol.
