On the 8th September 2015, the RAF Benevolent Fund will be hosting the RAFBF Battle of Britain 75th Anniversary Brompton Bicycle Challenge from Paris to London. This special event is designed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and to recognise the impact that the Spitfire’s revolutionary British engineering had on the Battle of Britain, by cycling the route from Paris to London on cutting edge British cycling technology: the Brompton bicycle.

Below you have the chance to own a piece of history, the bespoke Brompton bike which has been made specifically for this amazing challenge.

The Spec:

It will be an M6L with front luggage block and shimano dynamo set.

• M type handle bars

• 6 speed gears.

• Telescopic seat post.

• Mudguards.

• Front hub integral dynamo and front and rear fitted lights.

• Coloured handgrips and saddle.

• Front luggage carrier block – fits all Brompton front luggage.

• Brompton Kevlar tyres.

The cost of this Brompton with the above spec would normally be £1,228 – so you are saving £130.  The paint job is priceless and you are buying a piece of cycling history!

The other great news is that for every bike bought our friends at Brompton will donate £100 to the RAFBF – which is just brilliant.
