With the countdown to Christmas well and truly under way, you are probably beginning to think about the presents you are going to buy for your nearest and dearest. If you have started searching for cycling related stocking fillers for that cycling-mad friend or family member, we think we may have the answer to your dreams! Why not pop along to ‘Spin Xmas’ on the 5th-7th December at Rochelle School in Shoreditch, London (just a couple of mins stroll from Shoreditch High Street), where ‘Spoke London’ will be hosting a design and illustration fair which celebrates all things cycling. Here you will be able to pick up some really cool and original stocking fodder including various cycle-themed prints, wares and items. At the event, you can also expect to meet all the talented people and funky people responsible for making the fabulous works of art on offer, including the illustrators, graphic designers, artists and professional makers who will be happy to talk to you about the inspiration behind their designs.
Spoke held their first event in June this year, and after a roaring success, they are collaborating with Spin to do it all over again in December. This time round they have got lots of new artists and makers involved, a live drawing workshop and a few other activities to get attendees making their own cycle art! You can also treat yourself to a beer or a mulled wine in the festive themed bar and get into the Christmas party atmosphere with DJ spinning tunes throughout the weekend. We think it sounds like a great way to spend a weekend – and you may well pick up a few Christmas pressies for yourself too!
The event is taking place at:
For this fabulous Christmas event, Spoke will be putting on a brilliant array of exhibitors from screen printed limited-run cycle prints to an illustrated stop motion animation of a cycle journey.
