And they’re off! This morning, 20 riders set off on their cycling adventure from Leeds to Paris. The riders met in Park Square early this morning ready to embark on their 5 day cycling challenge. There were a mix of emotions in the Square – some riders were quietly confident, others a little bit nervous – but overall there was a sense of eagerness to get going and get the first day under their belt (or cycling shorts)!
This trip is not for the faint-hearted. The riders will cover 430 miles in 5 days, arriving in Paris on Sunday evening for a celebratory meal and no doubt a few drinks.
The riders are from the networking group The Yorkshire Mafia and also the CRM solutions company, Salesforce. They are raising money for Leeds-based charity Simon on the Streets which helps homeless people in and around West Yorkshire and Saleforce have kindly agreed to match any donations. Ride25 is also supporting our corporate charity Re~cycle.
